Americold possesses the largest cold storage network with a total capacity of over 1.1 billion cubic feet of storage. Americold’s warehouses are an integral part of the supply chain connecting food producers, processors, distributors, and retailers to the end consumer.
Americold provides three primary offerings:
Americold manages four types of warehouse facilities, i.e., consolidation, public, production, and dedicated distribution, each designed to meet specific supply chain needs. In addition, Americold will manage facilities owned by our customers.
Americold offers a full range of cost-effective transportation services, including expedited services, consolidation programs, shipment management, multi-vendor consoldiation, and national LTL transportation.
Americold offers industry-leading i-3PL technology to deliver real-time information over the Internet, allowing you to keep inventories as lean as possible. In addition, we offer supply chain optimization studies to analyze your entire supply chain for cost-savings opportunities.
The IT infrastructure at Americold is a standardized nationwide network capable of full integration with your system. Our network can be easily integrated with ERP systems such as SAP using EDI.
Because controlling materials through the warehouse is one of the most critical links in the supply chain, Americold’s integrated information system furnishes accurate and efficient information to help us control inventory, keep labor costs in check, efficiently utilize equipment, regulate power usage, and maximize space.
At Americold, we are dedicated to the principles of sustainability, operating in a way that reduces our consumption of resources for the benefit of our planet.
We are committed to achieving sustainable growth that benefits our customers, employees, shareholders, and communities around us. Our “Green” initiative, in place since 2007, has reduced the consumption of natural resources and developed many new ideas for reducing carbon emissions by conserving, recycling, reusing, and more efficiently operating our facilities and our corporate office.
