In thirty five years of shipping, this was the number one worst experience I’ve ever had. My freight was held up for two weeks, incurring demurrage of nearly a thousand dollars. Trucking companies refused to service their warehouse because of past bad experiences. There was a disconnect between nearly all the departments within the organization. My customs broker said he’d dealt with them in every city in the US, but S. Kearny was unbelievably bad. Documents sent by him by e-mail were never opened, and as a result, St. Georges own files not updated. A wire transfer was never acknowledged. On the computer in the head office in Cincinatti, there was no trace of my shipment, even though it had been the subject of numerous e-mails and conversations. These are fundamental errors that cost me, the client, thousands of dollars on a single two crate shipment, and a two week delay for a time sensitive item. No effort whatsoever was made to resolve these issues by St. George Logistics.
